Why Watts Bar Lake?

Watts Bar Lake is a 40,000 acre body of water with more than 800 miles of shoreline. It is made up of three rivers... the Clinch, Emory and Tennessee. Watt Bar Lake is a navigable body of water, which means you can connect to the Tennessee River system by lock and boat all the way to the Gulf of Mexico or to Lake Michigan.

Watt Bar Lake is controlled by the Tennessee Valley authority. TVA will allow private boat slip on 39% of Watts Bar Lake’s shoreline. Ladd Landing offers its residents dockable properties as well as an onsite boat facility with 75 private slips that will be available in 2011.

Watts Bar Lake’s water level fluctuate less than any other lake in the TVA reservoir system. This means that while some lake in Tennessee will lose as much as 30 ft of depth from summer pool to winter pool, Watts Bar loses less than 5 ft annually. All of the properties at Ladd Landing have good depth and year round water and water views.

Watts Bar Lake is a great location for top-water fishing, water skiing, recreation boating and swimming. You will see everything on the lake from canoes to large sail boats.... pontoon boats to cabin cruisers.
